hee hee.. had a very very fun birthday party on saturday organised by yishan for her birthday.. and she had really cool halloween decorations, including a REAL PUMPKIN and mr. spidy hanging from the spiderweb.. hee.. =D (go to jasm's blog for pictures)
felt really good going for a party.. it has been a long time ever since our class met up which such high attendance. hahaha! and yishan's parents cooked lovely bbq-ed food.. all the kebabs.. yummy! hee.. =D
we met dolly again.. and we all thought to ourselves again, why didn't we take more pictures of gu mu??!! =( =( =( maybe everyone was really too busy with all the preparations to take any pictures.. tallteng, remember sataymama? i think it was just a project for both of us.. and of course isaac too.. who helped us to butcher the coconuts.. hahahahaha! and i remember when the both of you left, i had to butcher the coconuts by myself.. how unglam. hahaha! but the
satay uncle was quite nice.. he helped me abit.. i think he was too afraid to see a severed hand on the floor in front of his satay bbq pit. hahahaahha!
ahhh.. those days those days.. remember isaac using mer as the model for our hugeeeee gu mu banner? hahahah! mer the ghost. hahahaha! and yes.. who can forget the video that i was in, "professionally" directed by fong foo hai. hahahah! we were so sneaky in the dark.. running from the LT to the toilet to the walkway.. short-circuiting the dance studio so many times as we desperately tried to use ah-ma's red lamps for the "ghostly shadow" effect. hahahah! and THANKS to everyone whom laughed at me in the video. eh, i had to do alot of running around okkk, taking cab from school to serene's house early in the morning, and doing all the voice-over and editting while serene slept soundly in her bed, and then taking a taxi all the way back to school to submit the cd.. buttt.... i heard a child cried and begged her mother to bring her out after watching the video. hahaaha!
and remember when we won the most decorated stall award?? yipeee!!!! HAHAHAAHHAA! all our hard work really really really paid off. =D eh.. what happened to Mei Qui Gong signboard ah?? hmm.. i know the coffin was smashed right? is it? hahahah! dolly is with chai.. the banners are in the pe store room.. duct tapes are in a few of our wallets.. (but i don't have =(....)
then after that we went to crystal jade at holland v to celebrate. hahahaha! took a picture but it was too dark! remember?
oh man, this has turned into a fun-o-rama scfour post. hahaha!

i finished watching a japanese drama, 1 litre of tears, on wednesday.. super sad show lah!
this is the lead actress
this is the diary of kito aya
the show is based on a real life story.. the girl found out that she had spinocerebellar atrophy disease. it's a disease whereby the cerebellum is damaged/broken. hence resulting in the loss of coordinating ability. the patients will soon be unable to hold things, fall down, and eventually become bedridden. they will not be able to speak too.
it's really very sad 'cos they are fully aware of their surroundings, just that they are unable to do things..
this girl was very brave.. she fought the disease and made herself walk as much as she can.. even though it was very hard to do so. and she always wrote in her diary, about all her experiences, starting from the day that she realised she got the disease. so soon her handwriting became very messy too.. because she couldn't even hold the pen properly, but she still wrote until she could no longer do so. ahh!! i really wanna read her diary.. but i can't understand japanese =(
she had a great family who were by her side all the time. really encouraging her and loving her despite her handicap.
wa, when you watch the show surely will cry one lor.. hahaha! just so touching and so saddening too..
so.. i recommend all of you to go watch!! hahaha

weird dream again.. i dreamt that i was in australia already.. we stayed at this apartment where we had this maid..
chai, chris, paul and a few others (which i cant remember now) were there..
then one day the girls were playing hockey.. and the guys were too hungry so they went to have dinner at the apartment.. then they couldn't get enough food, so they took a bus to a pork ribs restaurant.
and i don't know why i was on that bus too.. but i know it was after the hockey game.. and i was dirty and smelly. but in the end i got lost..

next scene:
chrystal's eye ball popped out of the socket.. please don't ask me why it happened.. but it suddenly popped out.. and zj was there.. so being the med student/soon-to-be doctor.. i asked him to help put her eye ball back.. and he stared at me in shock.. but the next moment, i saw that he had cut her eye ball into two.. he said it'll be better that way..
and i remember seeing chrystal's empty eye socket too.. i still have the image in my head.. weird mass of flesh squished in the centre..
then we realised that maybe it was better if we called the ambulence.. i kept dialing 999 (now i realise, should be 911 right?) but the line didn't work.. in the end we called a nearby JAPANESE hospital.. don't ask me why it was japanese..
then i can't remember what happen already.. maybe the dream ended.

next scene.. oh.. i think crystal's parents FLEW all the way to australia to see chrystal. then don't know why in the taxi right, we were all packed together in the back seat.. and dont' know why coach maddy was there too.
then when we arrived at the apartment building.. i wanted to pay the taxi uncle the fare.. but he REFUSED to take it.. i have no idea why.. kept telling him that it's exact change exact change.. but he refused to take it.. so in the end i got angry..
then when we were up at the apartment.. they told me that maybe it's because i paid it in a different currency.. so if he took the money, then when he go convert it.. he'll be earning less.

and here's a picture of my nice and clean water bottle!!! i finally cleaned it.. used a brush and took out all the horrid grime and whatnot.. can't believe that i have been drinking contaminated water.. people, if you have been using your water bottle for a long time, please clean it from time to time with a brush.. the last time right, i stuck my finger into the bottle and made a wipe of the wall of the bottle, oh man. grime. grossness. but now after i gave it a good brush, it's SOOOO clear i tell you.. hahaha
should have taken a before and after photo.. but i didn't expect there to be so much difference.. hahaha

my counters with strangersoneso on wednesday after work, i boarded bus seven at the bus stop. then because there were no more vacant seats, i stood at the poles.. then i saw this guy came up the bus.. and i recognised him as a visiting doctor from overseas to my company.. but i just pretended that i didn't see him.. and he stood next to me.. after about a minute, he turned to me and asked, "are you from international sos?".. then i took off my earphones and pretended to be shocked to see him (jia is like how fake lah.. hahahaha!)... and i said yes..
then we started chatting! he's really so friendly.. hahahah! i like friendly people.. i think first we talked about where he's from.. then i found out that he's from montreal, canada! then i got all excited and told him that i'm going to vancouver at the end of the year for holiday. then he was saying that vancouver's winters are very cold.. minus something degrees.. but montreal's weather is more eccentric.. i think they have winters up to minus 30 something degrees? yeah.. then i asked him so how does he find singapore's weather, and then he gave a "sad" look.. hahahah too humid for him i think..
after that we talked about me working part time, 'cos i'll be going to australia to study radiography next year.. told him i did 1 year in nus life sciences.. told him that maybe after my radiography degree, i may consider pursuing medicine.. then he leaned over and whispered, "i think go direct to do medicine is better".. hahahaha! but i told him that i actually tried but couldn't get in.
then i asked what does he specialise in.. and he said emergency medicine. told him that last time i considered doing paramedics too.. and he said that yeah, one point in time he did that.. then i asked him was it very exciting? then he said yes, but after a while got a bit sian.. hahaha!
i guess that was about all that we talked about.. 'cos i had to alight from the bus already.. i realised that the more i talked to him, the more the way i spoke adapted to the way he spoke.. 'cos he spoke much slower than me.. hahahah! maybe that's how people develop accents when they are overseas. 'cos it's really subconsciously, your brain will tell you to adapt to the way they speak.. so that both parties can understand each other better..
twothen the next time i worked was on friday.. and during lunch time i was at the pantry eating my packed lunch.. and this other local doctor came in.. and he was eating his macdonalds chicken foldover.. hahaha! and i thought of just minding my own business again, but he turned to me and asked me for my name.. then he said, "you know who i am right?".. then i was like, "doctor.....".. at that point in time i really forgot his name.. i think i was star-struck.. hahahahah! but he was right nice, he completed it for me.. hahaha
then we ate in silence.. then i realised that i didnt ask for the visiting doctor's name the other time when we were on the bus.. so i decided to ask this doctor for his name, and this doctor told me.. then after he finished his chicken foldover (which was really quick).. then said bye bye and went back to work
then when i went back to my desk after my lunchie, i was on this call, and suddenly that visiting doctor appeared beside me and i jumped.. 'cos i got a shock.. he passed me his name card.. hahahah! but i couldn't talk to him then 'cos i was on a call.. hahaha! must be that local doctor told him that i asked for his name.. hahaha
and really coincidentally.. later in the day, i don't know why the medical department didn't have enough work stations, so that had to borrow one from specialty department (my department).. and coincidentally the work station opposite me was vacant, so that montreal doctor sat opposite me.. but it was really quite awkward.. hahaha! 'cos we were facing each other.. then i just pretended to be really busy.. hahahah! naughty jia..
anyway later i'm going back to work.. today's work starts at 10am.. weird time.. hahaha! if he's there i must be friendly.. hahahah.. must learn not to dao people.. heeee.. =D
threeon saturday i was on my way from home to go meet huichai to pay for our melbourne tickets at orchard towers.. so at the road junction at my house.. as i was crossing the road.. these middle-aged couple stopped me and asked me how to go to orchard road.. and since i was going to orchard too.. i told them the directions.. and in the end we took the same bus.. turns out that they are from taipei, taiwan for holiday.. they went for holiday in
Club Med, indonesia, and then they have one day here in singapore for transit. their departure flight was nine pm that night..
so we chatted.. and they said that yesterday people recommended them to go Little India.. and it really sucked.. hahaha! 'cos they saw all those old old shops.. and that was not what they wanted to see.. hahaha! poor thing lah they.. hahahah! and i asked them did they go see Mustafa.. but they said no leh.. i thought they would go there.. 24-hours shopping some more.. but anyway i decided to bring them to far east plaza to shop.. 'cos i think quite nice to shop there leh.. so we were on the bus for quite some time..
then i decided to tell the lady that i just finished watching a taiwanese tv drama.. asked her if she knows it.. then she said yes.. hahahah! and i told her that this other taiwanese drama that my sister is watching now, the guy not cute.. hahahahaha
then we also talked about taiwan's shopping and singapore's shopping.. etc etc..
oh! then 'cos i was wearing my ac school uniform.. 'cos my church's Campus Ministry right, we were suppose to wear school uniforms for that service.. just for fun lah.. 'cos pastor chin was going to preach on studying and exams.. yeah.. hahaha! so i thought i looked like i retained for 5 years or something.. hahaha! but anyway, the guy tourist asked me, saturday still got school ah? then i laughed and explained to them that i was going to attend a function.. so i was dressed in my school uniform.. and that i'm actually 20 this year.. and that i know i look as though i retained many years... hahaha! then they laughed and said no lah! still look like student.. hahaha
(fat cheeks!!!!!!!!!!!)
but i'm quite amazed that my mandarin was quite fluent.. hhahah! so finally we arrived at DFS.. and i thought them they could just cross the overhead bridge to far east plaza.. =D then they said, "come to taiwan soon!".. and i wanted to tell them to enjoy themselves in singapore, but i suddenly didn't know how to say that in mandarin.. hahahahah!
but anyway, i really hope they had a good time shopping at far east!!! and orchard road for that matter.. yay!!! =D i hope next time when i'm in melbourne or any other countries when i'm travelling, people will be as friendly as i am!!!! hahahahah =D =D =D

=( =( =( i'm so bored at work.. plus my superviser just took me off two days of my scheduled work.. which means.. less money earned.. which means less money to spend in vancouver.. which means less money to bring to melbourne.. hai.. =(
someone help me look for another job so that i can earn more on top of my current one!!!
anyway, i've blocked a seat for Cathay Pacific to vancouver already.. =D aiya wanted to paste the itenary here.. but too tedious.. heh. =D leaving on 23rd dec.. returning on 13th jan.. i think.. hahaha! but glad i got it at a good price!! =D and Cathay Pacific some more.. at least it's not China Airlines. hahaha! now i'm just waiting for the go-ahead from mummy. hee hee =D
